Orange M&Ms: An Endangered Species

If you tear open a packet of M&Ms and fling the contents across your floor, three things will immediately strike you:

  1. Those things have an almost-supernatural ability to vanish beneath the fridge and stove
  2. There are noticeably fewer Orange M&Ms than Yellow, Green, Brown, or Blue.
  3. Blue M&Ms have no reason to exist. Someone really fucked up with this one.

A study was carried out in 1992 in Northern California, in which four pounds of M&Ms (plain) were sorted by color and subsequently counted. The result of the count showed that of all the colors, Orange M&Ms were the most rare, occurring far less per packet, and, by extension, per handful, than the other colors. Mind you, this was back when Tan M&Ms existed, prior to their purge at the hands of misguided design directors at M&M-Mars. Blue is not an M&M color, but a Skittles color, and this is obvious to any sand and/or intelligent person, but I digress. It's a proven fact that Orange M&Ms taste the best [citation needed], so why should we, the public be so deprived? This is clearly a case of the dumbassedness in action, but the good news is that we, the public, can take action. Here at International Jet Trash, we are responsible global citizens, and, as such, take the per-pack proportion of M&Ms seriously. Are you willing to step up for Orange M&Ms, or will they continue in their misery, relegated to the outskirts of the candy bowl, screaming silently for someone, anyone to recognize their plight? Vote Now!
